A new Insomnia!

The Insomnia coffee shop in Littleover has been open for a few years now and is almost always very busy with people sitting inside and out – even in cold weather – and with the community room almost fully booked.
We have worked hard to encourage groups to use the community room and we know that whilst there they will almost certainly buy a drink at least and very often shop in our attached store.
On 19th December just before Christmas we opened a second Insomnia coffee shop across town in Shelton Lock on a main road and with a very large car park and a community store due to open early January. We have high hopes that this will attract the same attention as our Littleover Insomnia and the same high number of customers.
I was very proud to go and cut the ribbon on the day alongside the local Labour & Co-operative MP for Derby South Baggy Shanker who was previously leader of Derby City Council whilst our renovation work was taking place.
We were given a tour of the building by Alice the store manager and Morgon the team leader in Insomnia. The coffee shop is fabulous and all the delicious cakes were there in the display cabinet which is so tempting. Hopefully the local residents will appreciate this amenity and local groups will sign up for the community space.
The store was waiting to be merchandised and we look forward to seeing that open in another week.
