Your Share of the Profits is here!

We're excited to announce that our latest Share of the Profits (SOTP) distribution will take place today, on the 25th of June! As a valued Member of Central Co-op, you have the opportunity to receive a dividend based on your trading activity with us. This time, we’re delighted to share over £440,000 with our Members who have earned enough points between the 13th of August 2023 and the 27th of January 2024.

This Share of the Profits lands during Co-op Fortnight, a time when we celebrate the unique benefits of being part of a co-operative. Our co-operative difference means that our profits go back to our communities, reinforcing our commitment to community and shared success. The more you shop with us, the more there is to give back.

How will you know if you’ve earned a dividend?
Eligible Members will receive a message from us about their Share of the Profits either via email on Tuesday the 25^th of June, or by post starting from Wednesday the 26^th of June. The balances reflected in the SOTP communications are accurate as of the 10th of June when we collected the data. You can always see your latest balance on your receipt in store or on our Membership App.

 The value of Membership
Being part of Central Co-op means more than just shopping - it means sharing in the success of our Society. One of the great benefits of being a co-operative is that we share our trading surpluses with our Members. Membership costs just £1, and once you hold a £1 share, the points you earn as you shop will contribute towards your next share of our profits.

At Central Co-op, we value your input. We’re Member owned and Member-led, all Share of the Profits distributions are subject to Member approval at our Members’ meetings. As well as this, our recent survey has provided valuable insights, helping us shape our future initiatives. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to get involved and have your say in how we do things as your feedback is crucial in guiding our co-operative journey.

How to earn points
Earning points is simple! Just scan your Membership card each time you shop with us, whether it's your physical card or the digital card stored on our Membership App. Here’s how you can earn points in different areas of our business:

• Food: 1 point for every £1 spent
• Fuel: 1 point for every £10 spent
• Funeral: 1 point for every £1 spent
• Florist: 1 point for every £1 spent
• Tenancy: 1 point for every £1 spent

Once you have earned enough points for a payout, we’ll convert the points into pounds. This reward, often referred to as a Membership dividend, will be loaded onto your Membership card in multiples of £1.
