It’s time to vote!

We're Member-owned and Member-led, so, as a Member, you part-own Central Co-op! You can contribute to the impact we have on our local communities, benefit from our profits and build strong relationships with other Members in your area.
But did you know you also have a voice in choosing how our Society operates? And this month, we're asking eligible Members to vote for our Board of Directors.
Our Directors, elected by our Members, ensure that the Society carries out its commitment to be a successful co-operative business. They set out the Society’s strategic aims and direction of the business in conjunction with the Executive Team.
For the Society’s 2024 Board Elections, there are 4 seats available across the following constituencies:
- Eastern Member - 3 candidates for 1 seat
- Western Member - 3 candidates for 1 seat
- Central Colleague - 2 candidates for 1 seat
- Western Colleague - 2 candidates for 1 seat
In the Central Member constituency, Valerie Watson was the only candidate who stood for the 1 seat, so is appointed to the Board unopposed.
All seats are for a 3-year term of office, with the exception of the Western Colleague constituency which is for a 1-year term of office. Your vote makes a big difference, so you can find the candidate statements here, in order to make an informed decision.
If you're an eligible Member, you have the opportunity to vote until noon on Monday 29th April, and the results will follow soon after. You should have already received your email with unique codes, so as soon as you're ready, cast your vote!
We need you to have your say in the future of our Membership. It’s your chance to let us know how we’re doing, and where we can get even better. Watch out for the email on the Thursday 4th April to give us your feedback (don’t worry, it’ll only take 5 minutes!)
Don't forget to register your place at our Members' meeting too, taking place on Wednesday 1st May. Meet Members of our Executive and Board, ask questions and have your say! Join online or at one of the 5 venues. Email invitations will be arriving from Monday 8th April, so keep an eye out.
