Calow Lights Up!

The Membership & Community Council, together with the new Co-op store in Calow, were delighted to support the Calow Light Festival on 4th December.  Support was given towards the workshops for lantern making and some products for a hamper and tastings.  Kaye and Lyn who organised the Calow lights switch on event said "the event had been absolutely awesome! The community spirit around the Christmas tree in the churchyard was fantastic".

Workshops to make the lanterns were held at Calow Primary School and for families, and a ‘man-shed’ workshop led by resident Mark Buxton has been in operation for months to get ready for the big day.
