Networking in Beeston

An evening of getting to know members in the Beeston area included the President, Elaine Dean and Secretary, Jim Watts giving an overview of the financial results and the focus of the Society in the future.  A new store is to open in Beeston in early 2020 and it was an opportunity to get to know the different organisations in the area. Speakers included Nigel from Hope Nottingham, Toni from the fairtrade group and Matt from the Nottingham Student Housing Co-op.  Our funeral team ran a raffle for Dementia UK and there was plenty of food sampling.  The event was to find out what events or activities would work in the area, so it was good to share ideas and focus.
