A re-cycling project a hit in Derby

Date Published: 22/12/2020 | Blog category: Northern

A recycling project has proved a hit for a community group in Derby.

The Society has just refurbished its Lichfield store and all the old racking and contents of the old cafe have all been recycled to support a project in Derby.

The Derby Food 4 Thought project are converting an area into a community shop and cafe and the donation of items will enable the project to go ahead earlier than planned in view of the surplus materials.  This has helped us to re-cycle the items which is essential to help our environmental.  Tanya Noon, Member & Community Relations Officer wishes to thank the Society's property department for not only donating the items but for packing it all up and arranging for transport to deliver the many cages.  The project is a way in which we can all work together to make our communities more sustainable.
