From 22nd September - 5th October we’re asking you to ‘Do it Fair’.
This Fairtrade Fortnight we’re celebrating the difference we can all make when we choose Fairtrade and now, more than ever, it’s essential that we work together to make a positive impact on people’s lives all over the world.
It’s not just a label – it’s a movement. Fairer pay. Fairer treatment. Fairer futures. That’s Fairtrade.
This year’s theme is 'Do it Fair' and there are many ways to learn how. Get involved and support fairer trade through events happening across the UK. From tea parties and tastings to talks and workshops, there’s something for everyone.
Our Membership and Community Councils will be out in our stores and communities from throughout Fairtrade Fortnight delivering a series of events including tastings, quizzes and workshops (see highlights below).

Shop it Fair!
We’ve championed Fairtrade for over 30 years and were amongst the first in the UK to stock Fairtrade products. One easy way for you to Do it Fair is to pop into your local Central Co-op store and shop from our extensive range of Fairtrade products.
From tea, coffee and flowers to chocolate, bananas and wine, you’ll find plenty to choose from and will know that you’re securing a fair price for the global farmers who grow the products you love.

Campaigning
In Britain alone, we drink over 100 million cups of tea every day, and behind every cup we drink, there are millions of people who work hard to nurture and grow the tea leaves.
As part of Fairtrade Fortnight, you are invited to sign a petition in support of the people growing and picking our tea. They deserve to be able to plan for their futures, and to protect themselves from the impacts of climate change.
This petition asks the UK government to Brew it Fair.

Fairtrade Fortnight Colouring competition
We'd like to see you apply your finest colouring skills in support of Fairtrade. Our favourites will receive a Central Co-op voucher worth £50. There will be runner up prizes too.
Please download the attached colouring sheet, add a short pledge about how you’ll support Fairtrade in the future, and return to us at competitions@centralcoop.co.uk by midday on Monday 13th October for a chance to win.
