150 children take part in our Healthy Eating Shopping on a Challenge at our Cropston Drive Store in Coalville

This week, 150 children visited our Cropston Drive Store to take part in our Shopping on Challenge  - 5 classes of 30 visited throughout the morning, needless to say, with the help of colleagues and MCC Ambassadors it ran very smoothly.  The Challenge set children the task of an imaginary £15 to feed a family of four a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner.  For this task they have to look at what is on offer and what is season, as seasonable produce is usually cheaper, and may be swapping fresh vegetables to frozen, which still count towards your 5 a day.  The children were then taking behind the scenes to see a working warehouse, and screamed with delight when we put them in the freezer which is minus 25 degrees!
