Ashby de la Zouch Pride

On Saturday 10th August 2024, Ashby de la Zouch held its second Pride event on the main street through the Town. Along with music and acts taking place on the outdoor stage, there we many stalls and activities to be enjoyed. The Membership & Community Council worked alongside our Retail, Funeral & Business Support Centre colleagues and everyone enjoyed the day. Funeral dressed one of the limousines in pride colours and the public had to guess how many balloons were in the back to win one of our beautiful bouquets, expertly arranged by a floral team, and it certainly attracted a lot of attention from passers by. The MCC and Retail provided seasonal strawberries and cream and held a tombola too. We were blessed with good weather from lunchtime which really helped to bring the crowds into the Town. All donations for our activities raised over £350 for Dementia UK and after a long day on our feet, we all went home tired but happy.
