Co-op History Exhibition - Whetstone Store

Heritage Week runs from Friday 9th - Sunday 18th September 2022, and we have brought a slice of Co-op History to our Store in Whetstone in Leicester.  Take the opportunity to go on a trip down memory lane and view some of artefacts that have been lovingly restored from bygone years.  From dairy churns, to tills and scales that were used in our stores, to photographs of stores over time.

We have already heard lots of lovely stories from our members and customers shopping at the store who have been sharing their Co-op memories with us.

Mr Lord shared that he remembered his Father going to the local Co-op Store in Enderby where he was measured for a new suit, and Mrs Lord remembers receiving a card from her local Co-op on her engagement.

We want to hear more of your Co-op memories and we have a book located on the table where we are holding our exhibition - if you do visit, we would love you to share your Co-op memories with us.
