Co-op Vouchers Support Woman Dealing with Cancer

The Southern MCC have donated vouchers to AgeUK to support members of the community who are experiencing food poverty.  One example of how our vouchers have made a difference is Mr Sumra's story.

Mr Sumra is the main carer for his mum who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer.  He was invited into our Mountsorrel Store with  Nikky Miles, the Corporate Fundraiser for Age UK Leicestershire & Rutland, and was grateful that he was given the opportunity to choose food that would suit his mum's diet and her appetite.  

We are really pleased that we have been able to support Mr Sumra and his mum in some small way.
