During the half term week, we were invited by Wendy Ryan, Community Development Worker at North Northants Council, to their Family health and wellbeing days in Corby and Kettering.
Other organisations who supported the events included Grow Cook Eat, Groundwork who made bird feeders plus vegetable printing, Bespoke Bike repairs, and Brightwayz who were teaching children how to pump up their own bike tyres. And of course their was the opportunity for the children to hold the chickens, play on the pirate ship and all the other outdoor play equipment, enjoy stories in the polytunnel and run around the lovely green space in the middle of two large estates. The Fire Service also came along which was a huge hit with the children.
Our Halloween spooky fruit kebabs were also a hit with the children as they really enjoyed creating their own colourful kebabs and drawing spooky faces onto marshmallows.
