Living Co-op History Exhibition- 8th-27th January 2025 at Coalville & Neighbours

To recognise the United Nations International Year of Co-operatives, The Leicester & County Development Agency applied for some funding for an exhibition roadshow which will be visiting various venues across the East Midlands. And where better to start than Coalville & Neighbours, a community co-operative, located close to the memorial square in the Town centre.

Central Co-op have supported with some of the historical items which are now on display and we have helped with setting up the exhibition. On Saturday 18th January 2025 at 2.30pm, our Glenfield Ladies Co-operative Choir will be singing as part of the celebrations and you are most welcome to come along and join us. There is so much memorabilia from old photographs, films, old ledger, stamps and so much more, and makes for a perfect day out.

CAN also has lots of gifts for sale made by local talented people, including cards, jewellery, scupltures, paintings etc.

So why not take a trip down memory lane and enjoy seeing lots of co-operative history!
