Pebble Painting at Bretby Crematorium

Last Thursday, the Membership & Community Council and our Retail and Funeral colleagues supported our Crematorium with painting pebbles for the children's pebble stream in the Rainbow Garden. The area is colourful and a quiet space for reflection for children and for those who have sadly suffered a child bereavement, but it is available for everyone. Sonny Locking, Cluster Manager for the Crematorium, was on hand to greet us and before a short tour of the beautiful grounds he took the time to explain and answer any questions we had on our care for the deceased. We were then equipped with pebbles and paints and set about painting colourful pebbles to enhance the beautiful rainbow stream. Some of us were a bit more creative than others, but it didn't deter us and once we had put all the pebbles together, we achieved what we wanted them to be - colourful and bright. Colleagues enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surroundings and also the opportunity to make a difference at our Crematorium.
