Southern MCC support newly formed Wheelchair Buddies Group

This week the Southern MCC have supported a newly formed Wheelchair Buddies Group who meet at the Thurnby Lodge Community Centre next to our store in Thurcourt Road.  The group offers support and a friendly chat for people living in the community with limited mobility and meet every Wednesday morning from 10.30am-12.30pm.  The Southern MCC have provided vouchers for refreshments to help with the set up.  Last week

Tahira from the group said  "Thank you so much for your offer. I am so pleased to tell you that finally our hard work is showing signs of progress. Today 3 ladies came from thurncourt care home with their carers I was so happy to see them. There is a definite need for this kind of support".
